San Lorenzo (Primary)

cakestallDear Parents,

In order to raise money for charity, the children in P3 will be running a cake stall on Friday 28th October. This will take place during playtime (10:30 – 11:00). The 3rd  grade pupils, will be responsible for running the stall and will be selling all sorts of cakes and biscuits for a maximum price of 1€.

We would like to remind parents the school photographer will be in school on Wednesday 19th October, we will therefore change into winter uniform from Monday 17th October and bring the P.E. uniform in a bag on the days they have P. E. so they can get changed. Please see the P. E. timetable on the school web site

This year we really want to help improve the vocabulary of all the children in Canterbury School. Most of the children only speak English during class and so may have little experience of the vocabulary outside of a class situation. We are hoping to bridge this gap by providing the whole school with the opportunity to learn new words and practise these words by doing crosswords and word searches on a particular theme.

Aulas_SupervisadasDear Parents,

The school day begins at 8:30 and the children should go directly to the playground on their arrival at school. There is a teacher on duty in the playground from 8:00. Children who arrive before 8:00 will automatically go to a classroom where they will be supervised by an adult. The form requesting this service can be found on the school web page.

Welcome_to_the_new_school_year_-_JuniorDear Parents,

Welcome back after the holidays. We hope you have had a relaxing and enjoyable time. In this letter we would like to remind you about a few matters related to school life.  Firstly, any questions you have in relation to your child’s education be it academic, social or emotional should initially be directed to the class teacher. If they are unable to resolve the issue it will be passed on to me.

Dear parents of P2, P3, P4 and P5,

Maths is one of the subjects that we get asked about most due to the different methods used in the British system compared to the Spanish system. This year, like last year, we are offering maths workshops.

Dear parents:

We inform you that there will be a meeting for 1st grade parents on Monday 19th at 16:10h.  You would be able to meet your child’s teachers, see the classroom and clear up any doubts you may have about this department P1.

Yesterday the Primary department celebrated Sports Day. Everyone had a great time and the winning team was the Purple house.

Dear Parents,

Here are some dates for your diary for the end of term…

This is a view of the snow taken from 5B's window!!!

It's the first time we've ever seen snow so close to school!

Dear Parents,
Carnival has arrived and we will be celebrating our party on Friday 4th March. We remind parents that this party is for the children to celebrate with their teachers only. This year it would help us to enjoy the day more, if the children came to school already dressed in their costumes. We ask you to ensure that the children wear or bring comfortable shoes as they will be playing games, dancing, etc. throughout the day. It is also important that they bring something warm to wear (coat, jacket) as the weather is changeable and some costumes are very thin. Thank you for your understanding.
The school will be closed for the Carnival Holiday on the 7th and 8th March.
