P6-S2 Parents Evening

Colegio-Privado-Internacional-Britanico-Ingles-Las Palmas-Maspalomas-English-School-p6s2parentseveningDear parents of P6-S2 students: I am writing to inform you that Parents Evening will take place on Thursday 26th of October at 4:15-6:45 pm.

During this time you will be able to see the tutor and appointments should not last more than 10 minutes. Tutors will not deal with parents of students who are not in that form. Bear in mind, however, that the last day for appointments before Parents Evening will be Tuesday 17 October as in the following days teachers and tutors are preparing the mid-term reports for Parents Evening. The first day for appointments will be Monday 6 November. Nonetheless, Heads of Department (for academic or curricular matters) and the Head of Year (for pastoral/behavioral matters) will also be in school during parents evening so that you can address them any concerns or comments should you need to.

In addition to the three Parents Evenings of each academic year, staff and forms tutors are available during the year to discuss with you your child's academic and personal development except those periods when they are preparing mid-term reports. . However, please consider the dates of Parents Evenings as the key dates for contacting tutors (as parents evenings coincide with half term, possibly the best time of the term to assess students' work) unless, of course, an urgent matter requires appointments on other dates during the school year.

Please confirm you attendance by returning the slip to the form tutor by Friday 6 October and choosing your preferred slot of time. We will do our best to give you your desired choice. However, we cannot guarantee this will be possible in all cases. School reports will be given to students on Friday 22 December 2017. Please consult the school calendar (available in the webpage) in order to find out holiday dates.

Please do not access school premises before 4.05 to avoid traffic jams with school buses and do not park in the far end of the road opposite the Primary building.

Yours Sincerely,

Pedro Tomás

Headteacher
