Infant Christmas Dates

christmascalendarDear Parents: once again Christmas is nearly upon us. This is such a busy time of the year that I would like to inform you in advance of the dates of interest.

• Friday 6th December – Bank Holiday - School is closed.
• Monday 9th December – Teacher's Day Holiday – School is closed.

We will be having parent/teacher meetings about reports during the week of 10th December (Nursery, Reception & Year 1). During the week teachers will organise appointments with parents in the morning or after school (between 8:00-8:30 or 15:35-17:00). Parents will receive a letter before hand with the time and day of the appointment.
Reports will be sent home in an envelope on Friday 20th December.

• Wednesday 4th December and Thursday 12th December, Nursery, Reception and Year 1 will be going to The Chaucer Theatre to practise the show (only children).
• Tuesday 17th December at 10:30 all the parents from Nursery (A, B, C, D & E) and Reception A are invited to our show.
• Wednesday 18th December at 10:30 all the parents from Reception B, C & Year 1 are invited to our show.

ALL THE CHILDREN will perform in the show each day (*if you have more than one child, please choose just one of the performance days).

On the 12th, 17th and 18th December ALL THE CHILDREN need to come to school wearing their costume for the play and bring their PE uniform in their bag to change into after or have it on under their costume.

Costumes for the Christmas Play: Attached is information indicating the costume that your child needs to wear for the Christmas play.
Pre-Nursery: As the children in Pre-Nursery are still too young to perform on the stage in San Lorenzo, they will stay in the school. They will present their own little CHRISTMAS ASSEMBLY on Thursday 19th December at 9:00 in Milton House, to which all Pre-Nursery parents are welcome.

Friday 20th December
This day is a "NO UNIFORM DAY" so children can come dressed in their own clothes. Each class will have a small party, so, if any parent would like to contribute something that the children can share to eat in the class, this will be very much appreciated. (No drinks and only one item.) For hygiene reasons, any products you send in must be commercially packaged.
Father Christmas will be visiting all the classes so that the children can personally hand him their "Christmas wish list" which they will prepare at school!

Head Lice: As in all schools, we have cases of head lice. Please check your child's hair regularly. Children with long hair must come to school with it tied back in a pony tail or plaits.

I would like to remind parents of Nursery, Reception & Year 1 that children have to be in the school at 8.30. So that the classes are not interrupted once they have started and your child does not miss important parts of their education, PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE ON TIME!

The Spring Term will begin on Tuesday 8th January 2019

May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Yours sincerely,

Pam Ainsworth
