hugo guedesArtist of the week is Hugo Guedes García of Y7B. His papier mache boomerang shows good use of colour, tone, symbols and Aboriginal Art work. He has painted it and then varnished it to make it very hard and shiny. A super effort Hugo, keep it up and well done!

Martina PlanellsArtist of the week is Martina Planells of Y8D. Her self portrait collage shows excellent use of tone, colour and detail and her work done with little pieces of magazines shows excellent patience. Good work Martina, well done!

Ling Li LiArtist of the week is Ling Li Li from Y9B. Her lovely animal face paintings show excellent use of colour, tone, detail and volume. Super work, Ling, keep it up and well done!

y10art4Year 10 art students have been working on a project based on the Canarian artist César Manrique. Looking at his art work and techniques they have produced fantastic sculptures which are on display in the school.

martaruizArtist of the week is Marta Ruiz of Y8B. Her lovely artist study on Patrick Bremer shows excellent use of colour, tone and detail. She has copied his work using collage and bits of magazines with such patience and precision. Well done Marta, keep up the good work!

tingatingaY2 students have been learning this term about Tinga Tinga Art and African animals. Here are some examples of their work. Well done everyone!

katerinaArtist of the week is Katerina Yoncheva of Y9D. Year 9 students have been studying the fantastic animal artists Ron Burns, David Shepherd and Pip McGarry.

skeletonsYear 12 art students have been working hard to improve their observation drawing skills and last week they drew a human skeleton using pencils and crayons.

Jorge QuevedoArtist of the week is Jorge Quevedo of 8B. His super artist study of the pop artist Andy Warhol shows excellent use of collage and colour.

Raquel MedinaArtist of the week is Raquel Medina of Y9C. Her lovely animal drawings show excellent use of tone and colour. Year 9 students are studying the work of animal artist Ron Burns and we can clearly see that Raquel has enjoyed studying the artist and doing her art work in his style. Well done Raquel, keep up the good work.

Eva FigueroaArtist of the week is Eva Figueroa of Y7A. Her lovely title page on Aboriginal Art shows excellent use of colour, tone and detail. She has also written interesting facts and information about the art and added lots of patterns and symbols to her art work. A super start to Y7 Art Eva, good work and well done!

Nishitaa ShahaniArtist of the week is Nishitaa Shahani of 8A. Her self portrait title page shows excellent use of colour, tone and detail. She has also added lots of information about herself and her hobbies. A great start to the year Nishitaa, well done!

Miriam FleitasArtist of the week is Miriam Fleitas of 7D. Her lovely cover page for her art folder shows excellent use of colour, lovely big letters and many super drawings of some of the art equipment we will be using in year 7. Well done Miriam and well done to year 7 students for a good start in the art room!
