The teachers have to “nominate" their students according to 3 different or complementary criteria:

The entire S5 year group went to the South School on their Sixth Form induction programme last weekend. During the induction every student had to cook themselves a meal, partake and evaluate numerous teambuilding activities (including water activities!), had a discussion about the differences between the Spanish and British University entrance system, a taught session on how to avoid “The Valley of Feeble Excesses”, and a long personal dialogue with their Form Tutor. Dear Parents, We offer you K1, K2 and K3 objectives that will be covered in this first term. Thank you very much.

Dear Parents of Infant Department,
Dear Parents: As this week we are introducing colour yellow we would like the children to bring something of that colour from home so we can do a class collage. Possible material such as: ribbon, wool, buttons. It isn’t necessary to send stationary materials such as card or paper as we have these items at school. 18-09-2009 K1 finding out colours...this week Colour Yellow. The Canterbury School has established an action plan against the flu. You will find it attached.

Welcome to the secondary Section of the Canterbury School and a new start of the partnership between parents and school. We believe this partnership to be of crucial importance in ensuring the best possible education for your child. We will endeavour to keep you informed of the specific progress of your daughter or son (through the Homework Diary, Reports and Parents’ Evenings) and of general developments in the school, particularly through our website. We ask, in turn, that you support us as, although the attitude shown by your daughter or son and the talents that she/he has are very important in ensuring that his/her full potential is realised, the interest and encouragement you show are probably the most significant factors in determining how successful your daughter or son will be.In this handbook you will find detailed information which we hope will answer most of your questions about the routines of Canterbury School. If, however, you have any further queries, then please do not hesitate to talk to us about 03-09-2009 P6: Handbook for P6 Students and Their Parents 2009–10. |
