Pending the confirmation of the grades gained by one student, the 27 students who took these exams, their parents and the teachers can be very proud of themselves as 100% of the students passed. 4 students gained a grade between 9 and 10; 10 students between 8 and 9; 6 students between 7 and 8; 6 students between 6 and 7; and 1 student between 5 and 6. Congratulations to all for the hard work and the results
As you many know, in P6, S1 and S2 students have one reading lesson per week. While we have a selection of titles available for students in school, please find attached a recommended reading list for each year group which you may wish consult. It is NOT compulsary for your child to purchase/read these books; the lists are provided to help students and parents choose texts if they are unsure what might be interesting or suitable.

Canterbury School Art Evening last week was attended by many parents, teachers and students to see the work pupils have done during the year. Work on display showed all years from P6 to S6. Congratulations to all the students for their hard work and thank you to all who attended this year’s show.
Parents Evening will take place on Tuesday 29th June from 2.30 until 5.00 pm.
The date for these is Monday 6th September from 8.45 am. Once students receive their global report, they must contact the teacher of the subject(s) failed by Tuesday 29th June in order to find out the content of the recuperation. P6 does not need to take recuperations. P5 students visited the secondary school on Friday for a taster art lesson. They stayed for a double lesson and managed to make some pretty scary bat masks. Well done to all the P5 students and we look forward to seeing them in September.
