NEWSLETTER SECONDARY SECTION. JANUARY 2009

Dear parents,

I trust you have had an enjoyable holiday. May I take this opportunity to wish you a happy new year

Since the 8th of January we have started the hard work in School, in all year groups and particularly in S4,S5,S6 as these students face very important exams in a few weeks. In order to succeed in these exams it is essential that students spend a great amount of time working at home

Unless it is an urgent matter, we would be grateful if lessons were not interrupted. Should you have a message for your son/daughter please tell the Main Office and one of the secretaries will make sure the message is communicated, once the lesson is finished

Disciplinary issues. Should students not follow school rules, they may be put in detention either lunch time or after school Tuesdays and Thursdays. Should a student be put in detention 3 times a term, parents and the student will be contacted and warned that a fourth detention will result in a one day suspension

IPODS and mobile phones. These will be confiscated when visible inside the building for as long as it is deemed necessary. The school will no accept responsibility for any loss, damage or theft.

Appointments with tutors and/or teachers. The tutor is the first person you should approach in case you wish to enquire about the academic and/or personal progress of your child. If you specify it when making the appointment with the office (928439810) the tutor can collect information from teachers to have it for the appointment. Both the teachers and myself are also available to meet with you on request

Material students need to bring to school: pens, pencils, rubber, sharpener, ruler, calculator etc

Yours Sincerely

Pedro Tomás. Head teacher
