Pupils who have followed EU educational systems.

The organic law of education of the 3rd May 2/2006 in section 5 states that ‘pupils who have followed systems of education of member countries of the Economic Union and other countries with whom Spain has reciprocal educational agreements may enter Spanish Universities directly without needing to pass the Spanish entry examination or ‘Selectividad’ so long as they

have obtained the necessary University entry qualifications required by that particular country.’

The Royal Decree 30th June 806/2006 which specifies the dates when this law will come into force states in article 17, section 3 that ‘From 1st June 2007 pupils who have followed the education systems of countries which are not members of the E.C but with whom Spain has reciprocal educational agreements as well as pupils proceeding form countries in the EU may enter Spanish Universities directly without needing to pass the Spanish entry examination or ‘Selectividad’. In both cases pupils must fulfill the academic conditions established by each respective country for University entrance ‘

The Spanish Ministry of Education will specify the necessary conditions in time for the application of what is stated in article 17.3 of this Royal Decree
