2007-2008

The following is a list of the dates of the different public examinations that S4, S5 and S6 pupils will be sitting in May and June 2008. Please take note of the dates as Examination Boards will only refund payments on medical grounds.

The cost of all uniforms ordered at Ruben Dario will be added to the following monthly bill. Any other forms of payment must be made at the Central Office in San Lorenzo.

Pupils in K2 and K3 may come in P.E. Kit on the days they have physical education.
All other pupils in Primary should come in normal school uniform and bring their P.E. kit in a bag to change on days when they have P.E. lessons.
Please consult the timetable for P.E. lessons in the Infant and Primary Departments.

As is our usual custom, the Canterbury School is offering a Saturday school in English for young people between the ages of 5 and 16. The classes are given by qualified native teachers and include the use of computers and audiovisual methods, sport, games and English grammar classes with special emphasis on spoken English. With the older children close attention is paid to ensure that the requirements of the Spanish educational system are covered.

The organic law of education of the 3rd May 2/2006 in section 5 states that ‘pupils who have followed systems of education of member countries of the Economic Union and other countries with whom Spain has reciprocal educational agreements may enter Spanish Universities directly without needing to pass the Spanish entry examination or ‘Selectividad’ so long as they have obtained the necessary University entry qualifications required by that particular country.’

UNIFORM
Uniforms can be obtained from the central office in San Lorenzo during the months of July and August between 9.00 and 13.00, once they have been reserved. This should be done by phoning 928 439 810 beforehand and collecting the uniform within the following three days. If they are not collected in this time, they must be re-ordered. Uniforms cannot be collected from the office if they have not previously been reserved.
Pupils in K1 will only wear sports uniform during the year
In September all pupils may come to school in sports uniform.

SCHOOL TRANSPORT
New pupils who wish to use this service should contact the Amanda Bus Company at 928 411 402 on the 3rd, 4th or 5th of September between 14.00 and 15.30 or 18.00 and 20.00. The Main Office in San Lorenzo will be open from during July and August from 9.00 to 13.00 hours.
