Yunfei Li Song

Colegio-Privado-Internacional-Britanico-Ingles-Las Palmas-Maspalomas-English-School-yunfeiYunfei Li Song, Canterbury former student, came to visit us just before the Christmas break. Yunfei graduated last year with a degree and master in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and is still there now doing a PhD.

 

His main research interests as a PhD student in Chemical Engineering are cadmium-based quantum dots and perovskite nanomaterials.

During his degree, Yunfei also worked on investigating the rheology of the viscoelastic fluid in the carnivorous plant Nepenthes jacquelineae, popularly known as pitcher plant, and the isolation and characterization of biopolymers in said fluid. In addition, he had the opportunity to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as part of an exchange program.
