May we ask patents of P5 students not to purchase this textbook (Proyecto mundoagua. Edelvives)  yet, as there seems to be some problems to find it in bookshops. The school will opt for a different edition which shortly will appear in the web.

We will be holding our annual “mufti” day on Thursday 27^th June. Those children who wish to come in their “street clothes” can do so for the small donation of 1€! The money raised on the day will be given to sponsored charity in order to buy water pumps for an under privileged village in Guatemala. See the web page: www.yolihuani.org

Dear parents, as we informed you before, the 2nd parent’s afternoon will be on Monday 17th June. We remind you that there will only be a teacher on duty in the playground until 16:00h., therefore please make the necessary arrangements so pupils are not in the playground after this time. Buses will leave at the usual time (15:45). If your child is returning home in a different way than he/she will normally do on a Monday, please let the teacher know in writing.  

Dear Parents, report cards will be handed out on FRIDAY 21^ST JUNE.  Please remember on that day children must be collected at 12.30. There will be a light lunch at 11:30 for those children who normally have school dinners. The school bus will be leaving at 12:30 therefore parents of children who use the school bus must contact the driver to confirm time of arrival.

Dear parents and pupils, on Wednesday 29th May the Primary Department had a great time celebrating Canary Day in spite of the damp weather. The children enjoyed having a go at all the activities and the teachers enjoyed the fact that the sponges were dry on the "Throw the Sponge at a Teacher" stall!

Dear Parents of K3, we would like to remind you that on the 14th June, we will be visiting the Primary Department. We will be leaving school around 9:00 am and coming back around 1:30 pm. We will be having lunch together with the children from that Department.

Dear parents, as we informed you before, the 1st parent's afternoon will be on Monday 10th June. Appointments for this day have already been sent home with the children along with the appointments for Monday 17th .

Dear parents, P5 camping will take place on 19th, 20th and 21st June. Pupils must arrive to school at the usual time (08:30), please be punctual. Pupils will leave the school on Wednesday 19th together with the teachers and monitors.

Dear parents, first of all, we would like to thank parents and pupils for their contribution in the food collection for disadvantaged families. This month will be 5th grade’s turn. We will be collecting breakfast food (cereal, powdered milk, sugar, drinking chocolate, biscuits) from now until 21st June. 

Once again we celebrated Canary day in true style! Everyone looked wonderful in their traditional costumes. Many thanks to those who sent food for us to enjoy. The children participated in various activities and some brilliant art work is now displayed around school. Take a look for yourself!

Our youngest class K1 provided us with an afternoon treat! The Hungry Caterpillars were brilliant; so entertaining and sweet! What beautiful butterflies you turned into!

On Thursday, we watched K2. They presented us with their wonderful “Looking for Floppy” play. The children knew all their lines and sang beautifully. What a terrific performance! Well done!

Activities organised by departments: Given the exams dates set by Cambridge and Edexcel, and once most of them have been completed, the school has organized 3 weeks of activities for S4 students.

Dear Parents, Canary day will be celebrated  on Friday 31^st May. During the day, the children will participate in various activities with a Canarian theme, including Canarian dancing!

Dear Parents, K1´s assembly will be held at 14.00 on Thursday 23^rd May in the small playground. Please, come to watch your son´s /daughter´s performance. I´m sure you will enjoy it!

Dear parents and students, we would like to thank all the parents for their great response to the Charity (Found Raising Event, 630 Kg. See Thank you letter). The food will provide meals for many needed families. We appreciate your collaboration!

Dear K2 Parents, all of the “Key Words” for K2 now been covered. Your child needs to learn these words fluently by sight so please continue to practice these at home. If your child is able to read all the “Key Words” by sight, they can progress to making sentences with their words either orally or in writing.
